Quotables May 8-14: Mother Dearest

Join us on Fridays for Quotables, everything that caught our eye this week on the web. This week, we take a look at the sometimes unsung heroes of our world—mothers. It's not just on Mother's Day that they are extra special!

It's the kids' first day back at school after vacation and they came home bearing gifts. I love that I have a new potholder to replace the one Jack caught on fire, and that my hugs feel like a marshmallow.

Here's to all the mothers who are "better than Captain America."

It's strange how we celebrate moms for taking care of people with something else to take care of -- flowers. "Here. Keep this from dying."

At least you don't have to change their diapers.

Mother-daughter bonding through the ages.

Fair trade.

Now I know why my son's book bag was so heavy!

Jaylan (6) - "Mom, what's your email?" Jaron - "You know...denise@themoms". #lovethis #innocence #mademesmile #thingsyourkidsdo #email #@

Logical conclusion.
