Dr. Karen McGinnis is a licensed psychologist, school psychologist, and registered play therapist. She has had 25 years of experience working with children who demonstrate emotional, behavioral, social and academic difficulties. Her specialties are in helping parents and children who demonstrate impulsivity, distractibility, anxiety, low self-esteem, anger or poor social skills. “Play therapy” may be one method used to develop/improve the child’s communication skills, social skills, ability to handle stress and/or skills in problem-solving.
