For young adventurers, many camps in Westchester County offer travel and day trip opportunities to locations such as sporng events, amusement parks, beaches, indoor play spaces, parks, bowling alleys, arcades, museums, planetariums, aquariums, and zoos in the area. Some summer camps even offer travel-specific programs in which kids go on a multi-day adventure with counselors! Hudson offers Junior and Senior campers (ages 6-12) the opportunity to participate in fun, educational, and recreational off-site field trips planned throughout the summer. These field trips are planned in advance and are related to the weekly camp themes. Younger campers enjoy on-site field trips.

Mosholu campers enjoy day trips throughout the area—two trips a summer in second grade; two trips each week in third and fourth grades; three trips each week in fifth and sixth grades, and a three-day trip for seventh through 10th grades. Trips include ball games, adventures, and amusement parks.

For campers who have completed fifth-ninth grades. Adventure Camp is designed for campers who like to be on the go! Campers will be off-site every day enjoying a variety of great summer destinations. Water parks, camp-outs, amusement parks, baseball games, NYC attractions, and science centers are just a few of the summer’s highlights.

Southwoods offers a full tour of the East and West Coast in its Super Senior Program. Destinations include Niagara Falls, Bryce Canyon, The Rock in Roll Hall of Fame, Los Angeles, and San Diego to name a few.
