New Jersey SEA LIFE Aquarium Is Looking for Junior Rangers

New Jersey SEA LIFE Aquarium Is Looking for Junior Rangers

Junior ranger contest winners will receive unlimited entry to the aquarium and will be invited to participate in exclusive events throughout the year.

New Jersey SEA LIFE Aquarium, which will be opening at American Dream in East Rutherford, NJ this spring, is looking for Junior Rangers ages 7-12 to join an exclusive club of science “fin-atics.” Junior Rangers will receive unlimited entry to the aquarium and will be invited to participate in exclusive events throughout the year, and will work with SEA LIFE’s curator to plan fun events and activities both at the aquarium and at off-site locations that will contribute to local conservation efforts.

Science-loving applicants can submit contest entries to become a Junior Ranger from Jan. 23 to Feb. 5. Kids must be ages 7-12 and from Northern New Jersey or New York City. They must post a 30-second to 1-minute video to Facebook or Instagram explaining what they love most about the planet using the hashtag #sealiferangers. 8-12 winners will be announced on Feb. 10. The Junior Rangers program will run from March 2020 to March 2021, and this year’s class of Rangers will help choose the next class next year.

The New Jersey SEA LIFE Aquarium will feature more than 3,000 different creatures in more than 10 exhibits all inspired by NYC’s most memorable moments and experiences–such as Studio 54, replicated in the “Jelly 54” exhibit, or simply classic rush hour traffic, which inspired the “Rush Hour of the Oceans” exhibit. SEA LIFE is designed to be the ideal first aquarium experience for kids–and it's in a mall full of other fantastic family-friendly fun. Admission is $26 for adults, $21 for children, and annual passes start at $69.95. Tickets are now on sale–scoop some up for your family on the SEA LIFE website–and make sure your child applies to be a Junior Ranger if he loves all things science and sea animals!
