Bricks 4 Kidz, a science, technology, engineering, and math program for children ages 3-12 that encourages academic growth through Lego-based learning, held the grand opening for its Syosset location on June 15.

Prior to having a storefront, Bricks 4 Kidz employees traveled to schools in the area to teach hands-on STEM learning by showing students, with themes including machines, space, and the environment, how to build structures with the Lego bricks. With the opening of the new location, children now have access to Bricks 4 Kidz’s Lego education outside of school. Students learn how to build models out of the toys and can craft original structures designed by the educators.

Problem solving, teamwork, and cooperation are all elements of the program, says owner Lisa Gallo. The company is part of an international franchise and is all about learning through doing.

Bricks 4 Kidz also offers birthday parties, which include two B4K hosts, Lego car racing on a dual lane ramp, zip line model races on the Bricks 4 Kidz Zip Line, and games and challenges using Lego bricks. Party packages also include food options, party favors, and extra party time. Other Bricks 4 Kidz programs include after-school enrichment for elementary and pre-K students, school and camp field trips, summer camp, and Kidz Night Out.
