Vicki's Studio, a New City dance studio owned and operated by Vicki Giannetti since 1993, will offer a new pre-teen/teen dance workshop this summer, which will incorporate gymnastics, cheerleading, line dancing, yoga, Pilates and more. The workshop will also teach students how to choreograph their own dance routine.
In March, Vicki's Studio incorporated a new style of dance into its repertoire: Zumba. Zumba is a fitness program for all ages that combines fast and slow Latin rhythms as well as resistance training.
Giannetti says she is proud to see her dance classes still thriving and expanding after almost 20 years in business. Vicki's Studio continues to offer classes in a stimulating, safe environment where young dancers can improve their technique and feel great doing it. Traditional classes include party classics such as the Macarena and Electric Slide, as well as a monthly mother/daughter dance class.
Vicki's is a family-oriented studio, Giannetti says, that encourages everyone to be their best in a noncompetitive and nurturing atmosphere. A flexible schedule is offered for all children and young adults interested in dance.
