Description: Once in a blue moon, St. Patrick's Day falls on a Sunday and this second largest parade in New York State can happen on the actual date of the holiday. This year is that case. Second only to the St. Patrick's Day parade in New York City, the Pearl River parade attracted some 100,000 spectators last year who came out to see more than 20 marching bands, more than half a dozen dance schools, fire officials, police officials, and of course elected officials at this major Rockland County celebration. The action starts at the former Pfizer plant on Middletown Road and continues down Central Avenue to Main Street.
